Winter course – Seasonal Management

A course for members of the public interested in bees and beekeeping. The aim is to raise the awareness of bees and other pollenators in members of the public and to act as the initial, theoretical basis for those who are interested enough to want to become practical beekeepers.

Week 7: Seasonal management. How a hive/colony is managed throughout the year. What the beekeeper needs to do during different parts of the year as the needs of the bees and the environment/weather changes. How, what you do, depends on what type of beekeeper you are.
