Winter course – Swarms and Swarming

A course for members of the public interested in bees and beekeeping. The aim is to raise the awareness of bees and other pollenators in members of the public and to act as the initial, theoretical basis for those who are interested enough to want to become practical beekeepers.

Week 8: Swarm prevention and control. What is swarming? Why do bees swarm? Why is it important to beekeepers and what can beekeepers do about it.
