Winter course – The Beehive

A course for members of the public interested in bees and beekeeping. The aim is to raise the awareness of bees and other pollenators in members of the public and to act as the initial, theoretical basis for those who are interested enough to want to become practical beekeepers.

Week 6: The beehive. Development of the beehive. What constitutes a hive, how and why a hive is manipulated. Look at other pieces of equipment: clothing etc.
